Othonas Charalambous is a visual artist, writer and filmmaker based in Nicosia, Cyprus. His practice is interdisciplinary, encompassing a range of mediums such as video, sound, installation and sculpture to explore nuanced relationships between humanity and the natural world, departing from spatiotemporal narratives that encompass biopolitics, corporeality and elaborations of corporeal existence through and around natural environments.


His work has been exhibited worldwide including at CEAC (Xiamen, China, 2022), Het Nieuwe instituut (Rotterdam, Netherlands, 2021), Salone Degli Incanti (Trieste, Italy, 2018), among others. Charalambous is also the co-founder and co-director of artistic projects aimed at fostering environmentally consious practices including Platform: Climate Challenge (Visual Artists and Art Theorists Association, 2018-20) and Perceiving Landscape(s) (International Association of Photography and Theory, 2020-21).
